The Programs : Our Wedding

my nephews, Nick & Justin, passing out the programs

When it came to programs for our wedding ceremony, I had mixed feelings. Part of me was over crafting for the wedding and part of me couldn't bear with the idea of guests not having something to read to follow along. Plus, I'm a glutton for punishment and the 2 weeks leading up to our big day, I added about 15 new diy projects. You know, just for good measure. Since our invitations were all about typography, I chose to incorporate a similar theme for our programs. Design through text. The cover was a simple rendering of a camera representing me (duh!) plus a boom-box. Steven is a huge music guy and he's literally the only human ipod I know. So it was only natural to have something music related in place of his name.

The cover paper was khaki text weight paper purchased from Paper Source, the inner pages were printed on a normal laser printer, also on text weight paper from Paper Source. They were lovingly folded by Steven and hand-tied with baker's twine by my Mother. Voila! Once I hit print, I literally forgot about these puppies because I had some wonderful people to assemble them. They ended up being one of my favorite projects! Enjoy! xoxo

Since some of my guests had never met Steven and vice versa, we decided to include some really random facts about us. We literally giggled for days coming up with these. So much so that we had way too many.

I'm dying. No seriously dying. Paper is like the most important thing in the world to me. Don't tell my husband. And don't be ashamed of your Hills obsession. Everyone acts like they are better than it but secretly we are all sitting on pins and needles waiting to see what type of impact Kristin will have on this season. lol.

Big fan of you, lovely lady and wish you continued success.

Is it possible to fall in love with wedding programs? If so, than I am completely smitten. The text, the layout, the fonts - it's perfection!

These are so cute. The random facts reminded me of our own programs... my dad decided to write up crazy bios about John and me (absolutely none of which was true!)

I remember when you posted that Jasmine had blogged your wedding and I went over to see.. I died when I saw the programs! It's just like me and my man.. he listens to everything from black metal to the beach boys to southern rap. I love the pages about the two of you - what a great way for people on each side to get to know you both a little better. :)

i love all of the details at your wedding (see in the photos you & jasmine star have posted). the fact that you crafted most of them yourself is so awesome.

these programs look great - and i love how personal it is. question - did you design the camera pic on the front of your program yourself? i LOVE that.

So cute! Your programs are sweeet! :) When making our programs I had to make this prototype to make sure everything printed double sided on the correct side...

I hate creative diy-ers!!! Why you gotta make the rest of us look so bad? These are ridiculously pretty on so many levels. You go girl.

Oh my gosh, this would fit SO PERFECTLY with my wedding! I'm a photographer and my fiance is a DJ, so really, it would be perfect :) How fab! Too bad I'm not very DIY/graphically talented. Haha!

OMG! I have the same thing about being scared of the dark AND addicted to crime shows... real or imaginary. It's awful. Fringe is my current addiction but I'm fighting hard to avoid it!
