my nephews, Nick & Justin, passing out the programs
When it came to programs for our wedding ceremony, I had mixed feelings. Part of me was over crafting for the wedding and part of me couldn't bear with the idea of guests not having something to read to follow along. Plus, I'm a glutton for punishment and the 2 weeks leading up to our big day, I added about 15 new diy projects. You know, just for good measure. Since our invitations were all about typography, I chose to incorporate a similar theme for our programs. Design through text. The cover was a simple rendering of a camera representing me (duh!) plus a boom-box. Steven is a huge music guy and he's literally the only human ipod I know. So it was only natural to have something music related in place of his name.
The cover paper was khaki text weight paper purchased from Paper Source, the inner pages were printed on a normal laser printer, also on text weight paper from Paper Source. They were lovingly folded by Steven and hand-tied with baker's twine by my Mother. Voila! Once I hit print, I literally forgot about these puppies because I had some wonderful people to assemble them. They ended up being one of my favorite projects! Enjoy! xoxo
Since some of my guests had never met Steven and vice versa, we decided to include some really random facts about us. We literally giggled for days coming up with these. So much so that we had way too many.
