In memory...

Yesterday we said our final goodbye to Steven's beloved grandmother, Josephine Cortez. A beautiful, soft-spoken, deeply faithful woman who was surrounded by love up until her final minutes. I had the honor of spending time with her over the course of my 6+ year relationship with her (self-proclaimed) favorite grandson, Steven, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been in her presence. Always warm, always smiling, always praying. I can't help but feel grateful for the huge role she played in Steven's life and that he was able to spend so much time with her. I know she'll hold a special place in his heart that I hope one day can be shared with our children.

Thank you for your patience this past week as I was a bit slower in responding to emails and messages. And a huge thank you to everyone who sent prayers and condolences our way. They truly did not go unnoticed. xoxo

Visiting Grandma a few months ago, he gave her lots and lots of hugs and kisses. And she enjoyed every second of it. :)

:( This post made me think of my dear late Granny. Take comfort in knowing she's no longer in pain. My thoughts are with both of you.
