When I was little, I remember growing up watching my older sisters and their friendships. They always had friends over and they'd giggle and talk and just had a connection that you could see from afar. I recall looking up to that. I wanted to be like that and have other girls in my life that were half of what my sisters friends were. After high school, the girls I had been friends with for years had all gone separate ways and unfortunately we were unable to maintain our friendship. It wasn't the end of the world, but back then I thought maybe it just wouldn't happen for me, maybe I'd just have my one best friend that happened to be a boy and lots of girl acquaintances.
Oh how wrong I was. The second I got to college I met these girls. We all came from different backgrounds, different paths, with different goals. We all were there for the same thing, an education, but none of us knew how significant a role we'd each play in the upcoming years for one another. One that our education had nothing to do with. We've all seen each other through so much - breakups, deaths, illnesses, weddings, pregnancies - and through it all, we've managed to do it with smiles on our faces. It wasn't easy, but we've always pushed each other to see the positive in life and within ourselves. I can honestly say if it wasn't for my circle of friends, I don't know where I'd be right now. I love them all so much and can't wait for the next 59 years so we can tell silly jokes, watch movies, and eat fondue together.
Today, we met for a casual brunch where we, surprise surprise, told silly jokes, watched movies, and ate fondue together. Thanks Nins for hosting us! And here's us at our best. Don't ask me what the heck we're all doing, we're just like that.
And because I'm super excited about the awesome engagement shoot I had today, here's a sneak peak. Stay tuned for more!
