Nina & Jared : Engaged

I arrived a little early to scope out the scene. Nervously pacing up and down the streets of Melrose, I anticipated what they'd be like. Having only been in contact through email, my imagination was running wild at the possibilities of what to expect from these two people. Nina and I had been going back and forth for about a month trying to plan an engagement session for this past weekend. Her fiance is currently attending school in Montana and was visiting for 3 short days and she wanted to make sure they had the chance to snag some engagement pictures. I jumped at the chance once she contacted me but still, we never even spoke on the phone which was why I was so nervous. The second I saw the smiling, giddy girl across the street, I knew it was Nina and I immediately felt at ease.

Nina and Jared made my heart skip a beat. They were so completely excited to be around one another that I couldn't help but smile. We spent the afternoon walking and talking and every now and then we'd stop and take some photos. At one point we got so wrapped up in telling stories of how they met and how Steven and I met that I had to remind myself I was there to do a job. It's connections like these that make being a photographer ridiculously rewarding. Thank you Nina and Jared for allowing me this opportunity to get up close and personal. I wish you nothing but happiness in your future and I'm sure you'll have a fabulous wedding!

Obviously, this is my favorite shot of the day!

I had to include this next shot. I let Jared unleash his best Zoolander face since he was itching to do so since the start. Nina didn't know she was in the frame and this was her reaction!
