Amber : Senior

I got a call the other day from a special, familiar voice, "Alicia? Hi, it's Amber. Emmm, I wanted to know if you could take some pictures of me..some portrait style pictures for my senior year?" I didn't know whether to faint or cry. You see, Amber is my niece. And there's no way she can possibly be a senior. Can she? Whoa, life is going by way too quick.

Roaming around town the other day with Amber, I was taken aback. Back to a time when the world was full of possibilities. Anything and everything I ever dreamed of was out there for me to discover. No cares, no worries, no obligations, no responsibilities. You could wake up one day with dreams of being a dancer and wake up the next with doctor aspirations and there weren't any consequences for changing your mind. Thats exactly the point in life this pretty young thing is at right now.

Amber is such a character. She is so full of life and has a heart of gold. You can't tell from the pictures because she wanted to give her best 'top model' face, but she giggled the whole time. This was actually a joint session with another senior from the same high school (which I'll post about next) and they spent the entire time talking about their plans to take over the world...I mean, their plans to go away to college. I loved being around these girls because they reminded me that there's still time for me to follow MY dreams.

Love you Amber and I can't wait to see what's in store for your future. Here are some of my favorites.

Apparently, this was Amber's way of telling me she was ready for the dinner I promised her. ;)
